IndiGo Fare Hike: Now passengers will have to pay extra charge of up to Rs 2000 for these seats

IndiGo Airlines: IndiGo, the largest airline company in the domestic market, has given a big shock to its customers and decided to increase the fares on some of its selected seats. Earlier, the company had announced reduction in its fares on January 4 itself.

This decision was taken after the reduction in cost air fuel fee (ATF), but now the company has once again announced an increase in the fares of some seats. Now passengers will have to spend more money than before to sit in certain seats. Know for which seats there is extra charge-

Additional fare up to Rs 2000 will have to be paid for these seats.

Announcing this on Monday, Indigo has informed that passengers will have to pay more fare for the front seat where it is an XL seat with legroom. Out of 180 or 186 seats in the airline’s A320 or A320neo aircraft, there are 18 such seats which are XL seats in the front. Now for these seats (window seats), the passenger will have to pay a maximum additional fare of Rs 2000. For the front middle seat, passengers will now have to pay additional fare of up to Rs 1500. Earlier, the airlines company used to charge extra Rs 150 to Rs 1500 for these seats.

Fuel charge was taken back

The country’s largest private airline Indigo had withdrawn the decision to impose fuel charge on January 4 after cutting the prices of air fuel. After the continuous reduction in crude oil prices, government oil companies have reduced the prices of air fuel, the benefit of which Indigo is now passing on to the passengers. After this announcement of the company, Indigo fares have decreased by Rs 300 to Rs 1000 in both domestic and international markets. ATF’s share in the operating costs of airlines can be up to 40 percent.
