“To implement this, certain changes will be made to the system from March 10, 2025, which will limit the number of work-from-home days each month. This move has been taken to ensure compliance with the new hybrid work rules while also providing flexibility to employees,” the report said, citing the email, according to a report in The Economic Times.

Who will be affected?

The decision will affect Infosys’ 3.23 lakh employees at Job Level 5 (JL5) and below. JL5 employees are team leaders, while ranks below this include software engineers, senior engineers, systems engineers and consultants.

These people are not included: Managers, Senior Managers, Delivery Managers and Senior Delivery Managers fall in the rank of JL6 and above. However, Vice Presidents are not included in this.

Why is Infosys calling you to the office?

Infosys wants employees to come to the office and work so that there can be better coordination with the team and the working culture of the company can be strengthened. Also, this step is also to promote collaboration and innovation among the employees. However, the company has also ensured that the employees get flexibility and they can work from home for some days. Another employee was quoted as saying that this step is more of a project requirement rather than a unit requirement.
