According to news agency PTI, the recruitment of over 3,000 graduate and post graduate trainee engineers in the current financial year is three times as compared to 1,067 trainees in the previous financial year. L&T said in a statement that the number of women engineers has more than quadrupled to 1,009 in this financial year. In the last financial year, 248 trainee women were hired.
In the current appointment, 30 percent women , it has been said in the statement that the company has taken 75 percent engineers in the mechanical, civil and electrical sector in the new appointments. At the same time, in the current batch of new engineers, 30 percent are women.
