School Timings- New instructions issued regarding school timings in THIS State

The Punjab State Child Rights Protection Commission has taken strict notice of private schools not complying with the orders of the Education Department regarding the timing of school opening in summer and winter season.

Commission Chairman Kanwardeep Singh said that many private schools ignore the instructions of the Education Department and open the schools before the scheduled time, due to which the safety of children may be threatened in foggy and cold weather.

Recently, cases of accidents with school buses have come to light in many places, due to which the lives of children are in danger. Taking cognizance of this matter, the commission has instructed the school education department to take strict action against any private school that violates government orders.

He said that if a school does not follow the government orders and an accident occurs, the principal and management of the school concerned will be responsible for it. In this regard, the Commission has instructed all District Education Officers, Child Protection Officers and the Police Department to take immediate action to ensure the compliance of government orders in schools.
