MP Weather Update: Monsoon has become fully active in Madhya Pradesh. Due to low pressure area and cyclonic system, rain is likely to continue throughout the week.

According to the Meteorological Department, heavy to very heavy rains are expected in some parts of the state for the next 48 hours.

Heavy rains are expected in Jabalpur, Shahdol, Bhopal, Indore, Sagar and Gwalior division districts. Heavy rain alert has been issued in 25 districts today. The weather department has issued an orange red alert for very heavy rains in Guna, Ashoknagar, Balaghat, Seoni, Mandla, Pandhurna, Chhindwara, Narmadapuram and Shivpuri on Tuesday.

Orange alert issued for very heavy rain

Heavy rain warning has been issued in Rajgarh, Sehore, Vidisha, Betul, Raisen, Sagar, Niwari, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Damoh, Jabalpur, Satna, Panna, Sidhi. Moderate rain is also expected in Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain and Gwalior.

Weather systems

Talking about the weather system, a low pressure area is formed in the Bay of Bengal. Along with this, the monsoon trough is going to the Bay of Bengal via Ganganagar, Delhi, Fatehpur, Sidhi, Jamshedpur. An upper air cyclone is formed over South Rajasthan and North Gujarat.

Along with this, heavy rain has been forecast in many areas on July 2. Yellow alert for light to moderate rain has been issued in other districts including Neemuch, Mandsaur, Vidisha, Raisen, Sagar, Chhatarpur, Damoh, Panna, Katni, Jabalpur, Seoni, Mandla, Dindori and Balaghat.

Risk of crop damage in rural areas

The weather department has predicted waterlogging in stagnant areas. There may be a risk of damage to crops in rural areas. Travelers and drivers have been advised to be cautious. Instructions have been given not to go out in the open to avoid lightning strikes.
