7th pay commission DA Hike: In the beginning of May, there is good news for the Central Government Employees. After 2 months, the dearness allowance of the employees has to be increased again.

In March 2023, the Central Government has increased DA by 4 percent, after which the employees are getting the benefit of DA at the rate of 42 percent. Now in July 2023, the government will once again increase the dearness allowance (DA Hike). By the month of April, this figure has reached 45 percent, which means that the dearness allowance of central employees is set to increase by 3 percent.

How much is the index up?

Let us tell you that by the month of July, this figure can reach up to 4 percent. The index has increased from 132.7 points to 133.3 points in the month of March. There has been a total jump of 0.6 points in this. On a month-to-month basis, the index has gained 0.45 per cent. At the same time, on an annual basis, a growth of 0.80 percent was registered in this month.

Now getting 42 percent DA

After the 4 percent increase in DA in January, the dearness allowance of central employees had increased to 42 percent. Now if there is a further increase of 3 percent in this, then it will increase to 45 percent. Let us tell you that under the Seventh Pay Commission (7th Pay Commission), the DA (DA Hike) of central employees is increased twice a year. DA of January 2023 has been announced. Now the DA of July 2023 is yet to be announced by the government.

Who releases the data, let us tell you that on the basis of AICPI index, it is decided that how much will be the increase in dearness allowance? On the last working day of every month, the figures of All India Consumer Price Index (AICPI) are released by the Labor Ministry. This index has been prepared for 88 centers and for the entire country.

What is the update on fitment factor?

The basic salary of central employees increases on the basis of the fitment factor. According to the recommendation of the 7th Pay Commission, apart from Salary Allowances, the salary of central employees increases only by the fitment factor in Basic Salary.

Earlier, due to the increase in the fitment factor, the salary of central employees had increased two and a half times. Now the employees are again demanding to increase the fitment factor. He says that it is necessary to increase the basic salary and total salary.
