It was followed by Murari Devi at 52.6 mm, Palampur at 52 mm, Sarahan at 25 mm, Jubbarhatti at 17 mm, Dharamsala at 16.8 mm, Pandoh and Bajura at 11.5 mm, Kufri at 11.2 mm, Bilaspur at 10.4 mm and Kasauli at 10 mm.

More than 100 people have died so far

The roads in the state have also been damaged due to rain and floods. A total of 360 roads, including a section of NH-305 and the Aut-Sainj road, have been closed for traffic. According to the State Emergency Operations Center ( SEOC) , on Sunday (August 10), 214 of these roads were closed in Mandi district and 92 in Kullu district. So far this monsoon season, 112 people have died in rain-related incidents, while 37 people are still missing. Loss of about 2000 crores

Since the onset of monsoon on June 20, Himachal Pradesh has suffered a loss of ₹1,988 crores so far. During this period, the state has witnessed 58 flash floods, 30 cloudbursts and 53 major landslides. According to the afternoon bulletin issued by the IMD, the low pressure area in and around West Bengal is expected to gradually move towards Jharkhand. Under its influence, heavy to very heavy and extremely heavy rains may occur in some parts of Odisha between June 18 and 24.

The Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rain warning in 14 of the 30 districts of Odisha on Thursday. The IMD has issued a red warning (take action) for Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar districts while an orange warning (be prepared to take action) for Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul and Balasore districts, predicting heavy to very heavy rains.

Similarly, a yellow warning has been issued for Bargarh, Sonepur, Boudh, Dhenkanal, Jajpur and Bhadrak districts. The IMD said lightning and gusty winds with speed of 30-40 kmph are expected in Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Nuapada, Balangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Koraput and Malkangiri districts. Similar weather will continue in many districts of Odisha till June 25, the IMD said.

The southwest monsoon has arrived in Rajasthan a week before the normal time this time. Heavy to very heavy rainfall warnings have also been issued in many parts of the state. An IMD spokesperson said that the monsoon is expected to advance to other parts of the state in the next two days.

According to the Jaipur centre of IMD, the southwest monsoon reached some parts of the state on Wednesday, June 18, seven days before normal. Currently, the northern boundary of the monsoon is passing through Barmer, Jodhpur, Jaipur of the state. – Heavy rains continued in various parts of Kerala on Monday, causing widespread disruption. Trees were uprooted, water levels of rivers rose and gates of several dams had to be opened.

– Landslides were reported in high places, waterlogging in low-lying areas and severe sea erosion in coastal areas across the state. In view of the heavy rains, officials declared a holiday in schools in Malappuram, Kannur, Kasaragod, Wayanad and Thrissur districts on Monday.

– Heavy rains continue in various parts of Kerala on Monday. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for five districts Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod on Monday. Extremely heavy rains have been warned in these areas. Heavy rains are expected to continue in the state till June 19.

– Red alert has been issued for heavy rains with strong winds in Bihar and Rajasthan. Heavy rains and thunderstorms have been warned in many areas of Bihar from 15 to 20 June. At the same time, there is a possibility of heavy rains with thunderstorms in the eastern parts of Rajasthan this week.

Rain forecast in these states

It will rain in Jharkhand

Light to moderate rain is expected in Tamil Nadu and the Union Territory of Puducherry for the next five days. While the weather is likely to remain dry at a few places over Puducherry and Karaikal. According to IMD, it is expected to remain partly cloudy in the next 24 hours.
