The upper hill states are also witnessing snowfall. Due to this all-round change in climate, the severity of winters may increase across the country.

According to the Meteorological Department, an upper air cyclonic circulation is active over the eastern equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining South Andaman, extending into the mid-troposphere of the ocean. A low pressure area is likely to form due to this effect. It is likely to move west-northwestwards towards southeast Bay of Bengal. A low pressure area will form over the central parts of South Bay of Bengal during the next 2 days. The IMD has issued a rain alert in 11 states.

Important warning about the weather of Punjab

Important news is coming about the weather of Punjab. In fact, the department has predicted that the cold will increase further in the state. The department has issued a warning of thick fog and smoky situation in 7 districts of Amritsar, Nawanshahr, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Fatehgarh Sahib and Patiala.

Stormy winds in marine areas

The Meteorological Department has said that the eastern equatorial Indian Ocean and the adjacent south has become a turf due to cyclonic circulation. The Western Disturbance has become active due to the southward tilting of high-altitude winds in the lower and middle troposphere levels from the Andaman Sea to the Gulf of Mannar. Due to this, stormy winds will blow in the coastal states and heavy rain has been warned.

The Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rain in many states and Union Territories and heavy rain at isolated places from November 24 to 28. Major regions like Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Assam and Meghalaya, and Tamil Nadu as well as Kerala and Puducherry will be particularly affected.

Rain and thundershowers are likely over Kerala, Mahe, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam on November 25 and 26. There will also be fog, with dense fog expected in many northern areas during the late night and early morning hours. Among them, there will be fog in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh till November 26, Uttarakhand from November 25 to 26 and Himachal Pradesh till November 26.

Weather from UP to Delhi

Dense fog will prevail in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh in the morning and evening. It will be sunny during the day, but you will feel cold as the temperature drops. Air pollution has started reducing in Delhi-NCR and light fog has started appearing in the morning and evening. During the day there is relief from the sun, but in the morning and evening the temperature drops due to fog and it feels cold. In the coming days, the temperature of Delhi will go down further.
