Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the train via video conferencing from Banswara. At a ceremony held at Jodhpur Railway Station, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav flagged off the train for its inaugural run. Vande Bharat was scheduled to depart at 2:30 pm, but departed Jodhpur station around 3:30 pm.

Union Tourism Minister was also present.
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said, “Daily trains to Pune, Chennai, and Hyderabad have been operational for all of you. Years of demand have been met. We have fulfilled every promise. Now you can enjoy Vande Bharat.” Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat was also present.

According to Jodhpur’s Senior DCM Vikas Kheda, on Thursday, train number 04861 Jodhpur-Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Inaugural Special train will leave from Jodhpur and will arrive at Jaipur station at 7.05 pm and depart at 7.10 pm. It will reach Delhi Cantt at 11.10 pm. This train will stop at Merta Road, Degana, Makrana, Phulera, Jaipur, Alwar, Rewari and Gurgaon stations on the way. Second Vande Bharat Express after two years
According to Senior DCM Vikas Khera, the new Vande Bharat Express train will have seven AC chair car and one executive AC chair car class coaches. The train’s color is saffron instead of white. Previously, the first Vande Bharat Express train began operating between Jodhpur and Sabarmati stations on July 7, 2023.

Currently, two short-distance Vande Bharat trains run on the Mumbai-Mangaluru route. One is Mumbai-Goa Vande Bharat and the other is Mangaluru-Goa Vande Bharat train.

According to media reports, initially 90 percent seats were filled in Mumbai-Goa Vande Bharat train, but now only 70 percent seats are full. Similarly, on an average 70 percent seats are filled in Mangaluru-Goa Vande Bharat. Railways believes that starting a direct Vande Bharat train service by combining these routes will help in achieving full passenger capacity, as trains running between Mumbai and Mangaluru as well as trains running to Kerala always maintain 100 percent passenger capacity.

Mumbai-Goa Vande train extended to Mangaluru

As per the new proposed schedule, the Mumbai-Goa Vande Bharat, which currently leaves Mumbai at 5:25 am and reaches Goa at 1:10 pm, will now go up to Mangaluru and arrive at 6:00 pm. Similarly, the Mangaluru-Goa Vande Bharat service, which leaves Mangaluru at 8:30 am and reaches Goa at 1:10 pm, will now be extended up to Mumbai and will reach the final destination at 9:00 pm.

Hints of change in timetable

However, many long-distance trains arrive at Mumbai station around 9:00 pm, so managing the rush of passengers can be a challenge. Central Railway has indicated that the timetable of Mumbai-Mangaluru Vande Bharat may be changed to ensure smooth operations.

In the last six months, the maximum number of passengers have travelled in Agra-Varanasi Vande Bharat. The distance from Agra to Ayodhya is 440 km. Trains take 10 to 12 hours to cover this distance.

An official of the Railway Ministry said that a large number of devotees travel between Agra and Ayodhya every day. In such a situation, a proposal has been prepared to operate the Vande Bharat Express. A year ago, the North Central Railway Prayagraj Zone had sent its proposal. Vande Bharat will cover the distance of 440 km in seven to eight hours.

Sleeper Vande Bharat is also proposed

Agra Railway Division is also going to get the first sleeper Vande Bharat. This train will run between Nizamuddin and Indore. This train is going to be tested soon. A railway official said that the train will have 10 to 12 coaches.

Marudhar Express, Kota-Patna Express, Guwahati Express, Surat-Muzaffarpur Express, Kamakhya Express, Farakka Express. Marudhar Express takes 10 hours to reach Ayodhya from Agra.

Train number 02436 02435 New Delhi-Patna-New Delhi Vande Bharat Special via Patliputra-Chhapra-Ballia-Varanasi-Prayagraj-Kanpur Train number 02436 New Delhi-Patna Vande Bharat Special will leave New Delhi at 8.30 am from 8 March to 20 March, except Mondays, and will reach Patna at 22.30 pm on the same day. In the return journey, train number 02435 Patna-New Delhi Vande Bharat Special will depart from Patna at 5.30 pm from 9 March to 21 March except Tuesday and will reach New Delhi at 20.10 pm on the same day.

The railway administration has started the operation of Vande Bharat train between Chhapra and Lucknow. Vande Bharat train will run between Chhapra and Lucknow for two weeks from 5 to 17 March. It is known that 02270 Lucknow Chhapra Vande Bharat train will depart from Lucknow at 2:00 pm and will reach Chhapra Junction via Varanasi at 9:30 pm and will leave for Lucknow from Chhapra Junction at 11:00 pm the same night and will reach Lucknow station at 6:30 am.

This train will not run only on Tuesday. It will operate on all days of the week. Train No. 04016,04015 Anand Vihar-Sitamarhi-Anand Vihar Festival Special via Muzaffarpur-Hajipur-Chhapra-Ballia-Ghazipur City-Varanasi Train No. 04016 Anand Vihar-Sitamarhi Festival Special will leave Anand Vihar at 00.30 hrs on 07, 11, 14 & 18 March, 2025 and reach Sitamarhi at 02.00 hrs the next day. NFR has almost completed the work of electrification of railway lines in Tripura and Assam to ensure super-fast train service from Tripura. Currently, premier trains like Tejash Express from Agartala to Delhi and Humsafar to Bangalore are being operated with diesel engines. Apart from this, some more express trains connecting many other cities are also running.

Know timing and distance

The report said that Vande Bharat Express will cover a distance of 571 km between Agartala and Guwahati. This journey will be completed in 7 and a half hours. The train will stop at Ambassa, Dharmanagar in Tripura and New Karimganj, Badarpur Junction and Hojai in Assam. Sources said that the train will start every day at 6 am and reach Guwahati at 1.30 pm. The return journey will start from Guwahati at 2 pm and reach Agartala at 9.30 pm.

Transport officials said, “At present, trains take 12 hours to reach Guwahati from Agartala through diesel engines. It takes 6 hours to cover the distance of about 160 km from Badarpur to Lumding through the hilly areas of South Assam. After putting the trains on electric lines, the time coverage will be halved, which will increase the trade of northeastern states with Tripura instead of focusing on Guwahati.”

Vande Bharat Updates: There is good news for the passengers traveling by Vande Bharat. The Railway Board said that if the passengers of Vande Bharat train do not choose any option of food during ticket booking, then they can also buy it in the train. In a circular issued to the Chairman and Managing Director of Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) on Friday, the Railway Board said, “In order to provide options and adequate catering facilities to the passengers who have ‘current booking’ (after the chart is prepared and before the train departs) and do not choose (food) option in Vande Bharat trains, the sale and service of food items in these trains can be restored by IRCTC again.

The circular said, “For passengers with current booking and those who have not opted for (meal), the option of cooked food (if available) may be restored, which will be in addition to the ‘Ready to Eat’ food option.” Railway officials said that a large number of passengers often complained that IRCTC employees do not provide them food even if they want to pay. The reason given for this was that they had not opted for this option during ticket booking.

A railway official said, “It often happens that you do not opt ​​for ‘prepaid’ meals at the time of booking, but during the journey such circumstances arise that you want to buy food. In these cases, IRCTC staff refuse to give it to such passengers even after they pay.”

He said, “Now as a policy we have decided that even those passengers who have not opted for ‘prepaid’ food can buy quality food in the train.” In the board’s circular, IRCTC has been requested to take all necessary steps to provide good quality and hygienic food to the passengers in the train.

The advantage of this technology will be that the pilot coach remains defrosted even at zero degree temperature. This train will complete the 246 km journey between Katra and Baramulla in just 3.5 hours. Whereas currently it takes about 10 hours to cover this distance by bus.

This train is being extended. It will go from Lucknow to Banaras via Rae Bareli, Pratapgarh. Its schedule will be released soon. After the extension of this train to Kashi, many districts of western UP will benefit. There will be direct connectivity to Banaras. In this way, Banaras can be reached from many cities of the country by Vande Bharat.

Vande Bharat running from Meerut to Banaras will reach Banaras via Hapur, Moradabad, Bareilly, Lucknow, Rae Bareli, Pratapgarh. Its schedule has not been finalized yet. According to the ministry, its time table and stoppages will be released soon, so that people can plan their journey as per their convenience.

More than 55 Vande Bharat trains are running

At present, Vande Bharat Express is running in all the states of the country (except the northeastern states). Their number is constantly increasing. To reduce the extra rush of passengers during the festive season, the railways had started the semi-high-speed train Vande Bharat between Delhi and Patna. The Delhi to Patna Vande Bharat train is currently the country’s longest running Vande Bharat Express train.

The New Delhi-Patna-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express train has been running at full capacity since the beginning. Earlier it was decided that train number 02252/02251 New Delhi-Patna Vande Bharat Express Special train will make 4 trips till November 6.

Later the train was extended till 20 November. However, now this state-of-the-art train will make 2 more trips till 5 December. During the extended period, the train will depart from New Delhi Railway Station on 1 and 4 December. On the return journey, it will depart from Patna Junction on 2 and 5 December.

The New Delhi-Patna Vande Bharat Express Special train covers a distance of 1000 km in 11:35 hours. It is the second fastest train on this route after the New Delhi-Rajendra Nagar Terminal Tejas Rajdhani Express, which covers the same distance in 11:30 hours. The train will stop at five stations en route. These are Kanpur Central, Prayagraj Junction, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction, Buxar and Ara Junction.

The New Delhi-Patna Vande Bharat Express will depart from New Delhi at 08:25 am and reach Patna Junction at 8 pm. On the return journey, this train will depart from Patna Junction at 7 pm the next day and reach Delhi at 07:30 am the next day.

The New Delhi-Patna Vande Bharat Express Special train has 8 car coaches. It has the facility of AC chair car and executive chair car. For travelling in AC chair car, the passenger will have to pay Rs 2575, while the fare of executive chair car between New Delhi and Patna is Rs 4655.

Train number 02252 was earlier scheduled to run between New Delhi and Patna Junction till November 20, 2024. But now its services will run till November 29, 2024. Let us tell you that this service will now also be run on 22, 24,27 and 29 November 2024.

Similarly, train number 02251 will run between Patna Junction and New Delhi. Earlier this train was to run till 21 November 2024 but now it will operate till 30 November 2024. The service of this train has been extended on 23, 25, 28 and 30 November 2024.

The country’s longest Vande Bharat Express train is being run between Delhi and Patna. This train, which started today, will cover a total distance of 994 km in 11 hours and 35 minutes. According to the Railway Ministry, this is a special train which is being run on a trial basis. And the train will stop at major stations like Ara, Buxar, DDU, Prayagraj and Kanpur.

According to Railway Board officials, it is being planned to run Amrit Bharat Train on 26 routes in the first phase. In Rajasthan, it is planned to operate between Jodhpur to Gorakhpur and Ajmer to Ranchi (via Jaipur). For this, the availability of the route and the schedule are being monitored. Prime Minister Narendra Modi can flag off the Amrit Bharat Train. Railway Board is continuously holding meetings with the zonal railways on the preparations related to the operation of this train.

Amrit Bharat train can be started soon on Ajmer to Ranchi (via Jaipur) route in Rajasthan. According to railway officials, this train will be completely non-AC, in which Link Hoffman Bush rack will be used and a minimum of 18 to a maximum of 22 coaches can be included in it. All coaches will be non-AC sleeper and general class.

These facilities will be available in the train

The coaches of this train will have advanced couplers and latest technology features, and its maximum speed will be 130 km per hour. Apart from this, the coaches of Amrit Bharat train will have advanced technologies like CCTV cameras and ‘talk-back’, through which passengers will be able to directly contact the loco pilot and train manager. Vacuum bio toilets and other facilities will also be available in every coach.

This train runs six days a week. This train is not there only on Tuesday. According to the IRCTC website, there are many vacant tickets in this train. There are vacant tickets every day from 27 October till the time of Chhath.

There are two categories of fare

in Vande Bharat train. Chair car and executive car. In this train, the fare of chair car from Lucknow to Chhapra is Rs 1780 while the fare of executive car is Rs 3125. On return, this train departs from Chhapra at 11 pm and reaches Lucknow at 6:30 am. The return fare is Rs 1285. Actually, the base fare in this train is only Rs 1105 but while going from Lucknow to Chhapra, the catering charge is Rs 530. Whereas while coming from Chhapra to Lucknow, only Rs 35 is charged as catering charge. It is night time at that time and food is not served to the passengers during this time.

The best thing is that this train is also great for those planning to go to Bihar from Delhi. In case you do not get tickets for direct trains going from Delhi to Bihar, you can complete your journey to Lucknow by any other train or UP government buses after Diwali and then catch Vande Bharat Special from there. Although the longest distance covered by the Vande Bharat Express till date was 771 km between Delhi and Varanasi, now the New Delhi-Patna Vande Bharat will cover a distance of 1,000 km, according to the IRCTC ticket booking website.

The special Vande Bharat Express running between New Delhi and Patna will complete its journey in just 11.35 hours. At the same time, the Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express passing through Patlipura Junction takes 11.55 hours while the New Delhi-Rajendra Nagar (Patna) Tejas Rajdhani takes 11.30 hours.

Talking about the time table of this train, the Vande Bharat Special train runs from New Delhi every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday and from Patna to New Delhi every Monday, Thursday and Saturday. From October 14, 12391 Rajgir-New Delhi Shramjeevi Express will reach Pawapuri Road station at 08:20 and depart at 08:22. 12392 New Delhi-Rajgir Shramjeevi Express will reach Pawapuri Road station at 09:15 and depart at 09:17.

Dharmanagar to Agartala Vande Bharat: Union Minister Pratima Bhowmik on Saturday said that Tripura is going to get the medium distance superfast train Vande Bharat Express, in which the Northeast Frontier Railway is working on electrification of the tracks.

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited along with Russian company TMH is involved in the process of manufacturing 120 Vande Bharat sleeper trains at Railway’s Coach Factory in Latur. Whereas, Titagarh Wagons and BHELTogether they are building the remaining 80 trains.

In this way, the process of making a total of 200 Vande Bharat sleeper trains is in progress. RVNL-TMH has won the contract by quoting Rs 120 crore per train set. The Rs 35,000-crore project involves construction of 120 Vande Bharat sleeper trains and their maintenance over a period of 35 years.
