Mausam News: The weather is changing rapidly in many states of India. In some places, scorching heat is bothering people, while in some places heavy rain has issued an alert.

Giving the latest information, Dr. Naresh Kumar, Senior Scientist of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), said that there is no hope of relief from the heat in northwestern India at present. The heat wave will continue in the coming days.

According to Dr. Naresh Kumar, the heat wave will continue in Rajasthan for the next 4-5 days. Heat wave conditions may also develop in some parts of Punjab and Haryana. The temperature in Ganganagar, Rajasthan has reached 45 degrees Celsius. According to him, the heat wave that has been going on in northwest India for some time is not likely to subside now. Because in the coming days, no significant impact of the western disturbance will be seen.

According to the Meteorological Department, a special warning has been issued for eastern Uttar Pradesh where there is an alert of hot winds as well as hot nights. Similarly, a heat wave may start in Madhya Pradesh after 1-2 days.

Rains in South and North-East India

Heavy rains are lashing Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Orange and red alerts have been issued for these states. Wind speed may exceed 50 kmph. Heavy rains are likely to occur in North-East India for the next 5 days. Continuous rains will continue in Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh, due to which flood-like situation may arise.

Impact of dusty winds in Delhi-NCR

Recently, dusty winds and foggy conditions have prevailed in Delhi-NCR. According to Dr. Kumar, this situation was caused by a pressure gradient. Due to excessive heat, the pressure in Rajasthan is low, while the pressure in the surrounding states is high. Due to this, the dusty winds reached the NCR.

Light rain likely in Central India

Thunderstorms and light rain are likely to occur in some parts of Central India in the next few days. However, these activities will not be very widespread. Dr. Naresh Kumar said that heat wave conditions will continue in Rajasthan for the next four-five days. Heat wave has also been predicted in some parts of Punjab and Haryana. Temperatures have reached 45 degrees Celsius in areas like Ganganagar in Rajasthan. The weather will also remain clear in Central India. But heat wave may start in Madhya Pradesh after a day or two. A special warning has been issued for East Uttar Pradesh. Where along with heat wave, there is also a warning for hot nights.

Meteorological Department ‘s advice: The Meteorological Department has advised people in all affected areas to remain alert.

To avoid heat:

Drink plenty of water.

Wear light and loose clothing.

Avoid going out in the afternoon.

For areas with rain and strong winds:

Make arrangements to prevent flooding and waterlogging.

Stay away from power poles and trees.

Hailstorm and thundershowers are likely in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh.

Rain for 7 days

Heat in Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan has increased the problems of people. On the other hand, today i.e. on April 1, there will be heavy rain in the southern, eastern and western parts of the country.

There is also a possibility of hailstorm in some places in Gujarat. Not only this, the Meteorological Department has also issued an orange alert in some places. The month of April is usually known for harvesting crops. In such a situation, unseasonal rain has created trouble for farmers. It was told that similar conditions are likely to continue in the lower parts of the country including Karnataka, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu from April 1 to 4.

Farmers’ problems will increase

Continuous rain and hailstorm in some places in Jharkhand, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Karnataka, as well as in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, has created a big problem for farmers. At this time, there is a fear of heavy damage due to rain during the harvest. IMD has issued a warning of winds and rain with a speed of 45-50 kmph in many districts of the state from April 1 to 4. There is also a possibility of hailstorm in some areas, due to which the farmers’ concerns have increased.

Low pressure area from Chhattisgarh to South Tamil Nadu

According to the Meteorological Department, various types of weather activities are being seen in many states due to the activation of various weather systems. Cyclonic circulation continues over South Tamil Nadu and Southeast Bay of Bengal, while a low pressure area is spread from South Chhattisgarh to South Tamil Nadu. A cyclonic circulation is also active in Northeast Assam, due to which changes in the weather are being seen. Light rains were recorded in North Karnataka and South Central Maharashtra in the last 24 hours, while heat wave persisted in Gangetic West Bengal.

Severe heat in North India

Today, strong dusty winds from the northwest will continue to blow in Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Assam. Temperatures are likely to gradually increase in northwest India including Delhi-NCR. Light to moderate rain and snowfall are likely in Arunachal Pradesh. Light rain may also occur in the south coastal areas of Kerala and Karnataka. Temperatures in Odisha have crossed 40 degrees Celsius, due to which the condition of the people is pathetic.

Heavy Rain Warning: Heavy rain and cold winds that started in Delhi-NCR on Saturday morning have brought a big change in the weather. It is raining intermittently in the capital and many surrounding areas, due to which the temperature has dropped.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the sky will remain cloudy throughout the day and light to moderate rain is expected. Apart from this, rain with thunder and lightning is also expected in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab. The Meteorological Department has predicted similar weather for the next 24 hours.

Effect of rain and snowfall in North India

Apart from Delhi-NCR, the effect of rain and snowfall is being seen in many states of North India. There has been fresh snowfall in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Jammu and Kashmir, which has increased the cold. An avalanche incident was reported in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, in which some people were trapped, however the administration showed promptness and evacuated them safely. On the other hand, due to continuous rain for the last 24 hours in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh, landslides have occurred, due to which many roads have been closed. The administration has advised people living on the banks of rivers and drains to remain alert.

How will the weather be in Delhi-NCR today?

According to the Meteorological Department, Delhi and surrounding areas may remain cloudy throughout the day with light rain at some places. The maximum temperature is likely to be 22 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is likely to be 13 degrees Celsius. Due to cold winds, the effect of cold will be felt more in the morning and evening. According to weather experts, there will be intermittent rain for the next few days, which may further reduce the temperature.

Rain alert in Haryana, Punjab and UP

The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of rain and hailstorm in many areas of Haryana, western Uttar Pradesh and Punjab. Heavy rains have been predicted in Kurukshetra, Karnal, Sonipat, Panipat and Rohtak in Haryana. Similarly, Uttarakhand and Punjab may also receive heavy rains accompanied by thunderstorms. The IMD has advised farmers to take appropriate steps to avoid crop damage, as rain and hailstorms can damage Rabi crops.

Cold weather will continue for the next few days

According to IMD, there are chances of light rain in Delhi-NCR on Sunday and Monday as well. At the same time, snowfall will continue in the hilly areas, due to which cold will persist in the plains as well. However, there may be a slight increase in temperature from next week. Weather experts say that this year the effect of cold may be more than normal in early March, due to which people will have to continue taking measures to protect themselves from cold.

In view of this changing weather, the administration has appealed to the people to be alert and take necessary precautions. Especially those traveling in hilly areas have been advised to be cautious, as many roads may be blocked due to snowfall and landslides. At the same time, people in the plains have also been advised to wear warm clothes and pay attention to weather updates to protect themselves from the cold.

Heavy Rain Alert- The weather is bad in Punjab, Haryana and the national capital Delhi and its surrounding areas. After a gap of a few days, the rainy season has resumed. Light to moderate rain was recorded in various areas of Delhi.

Safdarjung, Lodhi Road and Palam areas have received record-breaking rainfall in the winter season. Delhi has recorded such heavy rainfall after the last 27 years. Let us tell you that on Friday, it rained intermittently throughout the day.

According to the Meteorological Department, this is the fifth time in the history of 123 years that there has been so much rainfall in the month of December. This much rainfall has been recorded in the cold of December after 1997. In the year 1923, 77.2 mm of rainfall was recorded in Delhi in the month of December. In the last 125 years, the highest rainfall was recorded in the month of December in the year 1923. After this, 71.8 mm of rainfall was recorded in 1997. 30 years ago, 69.5 mm of rainfall was recorded in the month of December in 1967. Before this, 68.1 mm of rainfall was recorded in the same month in the year 1936. Now, 42.8 mm of rainfall has been recorded so far in December 2024.

Improvement in pollution

Due to continuous rains, the air pollution level has come down in Delhi-NCR. In view of this, it has been decided to relax the restrictions. After the reduction in the air pollution level, it has been announced to remove or reduce GRAP-3. This will now provide relief from the restrictions. Delhi witnessed a decline in the air pollution level and the 24-hour average AQI was 324. According to the IMD forecast, the pollution level is likely to improve further in the coming time due to the change in the weather. Under GRAP-3, non-essential construction work has been banned in the private sector. Apart from this, it is necessary to run classes up to class V in a hybrid manner.

How will the weather be over the weekend?

IMD has issued an alert regarding the weather pattern during the weekend. Meteorologists say that there may be rain in Delhi and surrounding areas on Saturday and Sunday as well. On the other hand, snowfall continues in the mountains of Himachal and Kashmir. Due to the activation of another western disturbance, there is a possibility of heavy rain and hail in 10 states including Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana. This will further increase the cold. There is a possibility of a decrease in the maximum and minimum temperatures.

Weather Update IMD: Cold weather has now hit many states of the country. People have started wearing sweaters and jackets. But still the weather is going to change in many states. In this winter season, North India is currently covered in dense fog.

Thunderstorms are already lashing South India and Northeast India. Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of a cyclonic storm. The upper hill states are also witnessing snowfall. Due to this all-round change in climate, the severity of winters may increase across the country.

According to the Meteorological Department, an upper air cyclonic circulation is active over the eastern equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining South Andaman, extending into the mid-troposphere of the ocean. A low pressure area is likely to form due to this effect. It is likely to move west-northwestwards towards southeast Bay of Bengal. A low pressure area will form over the central parts of South Bay of Bengal during the next 2 days. The IMD has issued a rain alert in 11 states.

Important warning about the weather of Punjab

Important news is coming about the weather of Punjab. In fact, the department has predicted that the cold will increase further in the state. The department has issued a warning of thick fog and smoky situation in 7 districts of Amritsar, Nawanshahr, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Fatehgarh Sahib and Patiala.

Stormy winds in marine areas

The Meteorological Department has said that the eastern equatorial Indian Ocean and the adjacent south has become a turf due to cyclonic circulation. The Western Disturbance has become active due to the southward tilting of high-altitude winds in the lower and middle troposphere levels from the Andaman Sea to the Gulf of Mannar. Due to this, stormy winds will blow in the coastal states and heavy rain has been warned.

The Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rain in many states and Union Territories and heavy rain at isolated places from November 24 to 28. Major regions like Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Assam and Meghalaya, and Tamil Nadu as well as Kerala and Puducherry will be particularly affected.

Rain and thundershowers are likely over Kerala, Mahe, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam on November 25 and 26. There will also be fog, with dense fog expected in many northern areas during the late night and early morning hours. Among them, there will be fog in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh till November 26, Uttarakhand from November 25 to 26 and Himachal Pradesh till November 26.

Weather from UP to Delhi

Dense fog will prevail in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh in the morning and evening. It will be sunny during the day, but you will feel cold as the temperature drops. Air pollution has started reducing in Delhi-NCR and light fog has started appearing in the morning and evening. During the day there is relief from the sun, but in the morning and evening the temperature drops due to fog and it feels cold. In the coming days, the temperature of Delhi will go down further.

The affected districts include Kanyakumari, Thoothukudi, Tirunelveli, Ramanathapuram, Tenkasi, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Theni, Dindigul, Sivaganga, Pudukottai, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Mayiladuthurai, Cuddalore, Villupuram and Chengalpattu. According to the Meteorological Department, this rain is due to cyclonic winds in and around South Tamil Nadu.

Heavy rain warning from November 22

The RMC has also warned that the northern coastal districts of the state, such as Chennai, Tiruvallur, Chengalpattu and Kanchipuram, may receive heavy rains from November 22. Above normal rainfall is expected in these areas from November 22 to 28.

Monsoon and fall in power consumption

From October 1 to November 15, Tamil Nadu has recorded 276 mm of rainfall during the northeast monsoon, with Coimbatore recording the highest rainfall with 418 mm. The heavy rains have led to a drop in power consumption, which was earlier 380 million units per day, to 302 million units now.

The risk of seasonal diseases increased

At the same time, cases of viral diseases are also increasing due to heavy rains. There has been an increase in cases of fever, influenza and malaria in Chennai and surrounding districts. The health department has advised people to take precautions, especially to protect children and the elderly from infection.

Overall, the weather is expected to worsen further in Tamil Nadu in the coming days, and the impact of the monsoon could lead to serious health problems.
